Ark of the Covenant

Hey ya'll for this year's a-z challenge I will be doing Bible verses for each letter. So here we go with the first letter A.

Ark of the Covenant
Exodus 25:10-22
10 “They are to make an ark of acacia-wood three-and-three-quarters feet long, two-and-a-quarter feet wide and two-and-a-quarter feet high.11 You are to overlay it with pure gold — overlay it both inside and outside — and put a molding of gold around the top of it. 12 Cast four gold rings for it, and attach them to its four feet, two rings on each side. 13 Make poles of acacia-wood, and overlay them with gold. 14 Put the poles into the rings on the sides of the ark; you will use them to carry the ark. 15 The poles are to remain in the rings of the ark; they are not to be removed from it. 16 Into the ark you are to put the testimony which I am about to give you.
17 “You are to make a cover for the ark out of pure gold; it is to be three-and-three-quarters feet long and two-and-a-quarter feet high.18 You are to make two k’ruvim of gold. Make them of hammered work for the two ends of the ark-cover. 19 Make one keruv for one end and one keruv for the other end; make the k’ruvim of one piece with the ark-cover at its two ends. 20 The k’ruvim will have their wings spread out above, so that their wings cover the ark, and their faces are toward each other and toward the ark-cover. 21 You are to put the ark-cover on top of the ark.
“Inside the ark you will put the testimony that I am about to give you. 22 There I will meet with you. I will speak with you from above the ark-cover, from between the two k’ruvim which are on the ark for the testimony, about all the orders I am giving you for the people of Isra’el.

Ok, now that you have read the verses about the making of the Ark, lets talk some more about it.
Placed inside the Ark were: a jar of manna, the tablets of the covenant (10 commandments), and Aharon's staff. Now, the Ark was very important to Yahweh and the children of Israel. But, why?
Well, think about it. The Ark was where Yahweh sat to be in the presence of his people, his children. I would think that would be very important to him. Ok, so no one was aloud to touch the Ark directly or else they would die. Not, even the High Priest could touch it or carry it. The only ones allowed to carry it were the Levites themselves. And, they had to use the poles that were attached to it. They could NOT touch the Ark itself.
Alright enough on what I have to say about it, I want to see what you have to say.

A Cappella

Hey guys welcome to the first day of April and the first day of A to Z. If you didn't read the theme reavel post, you better go back and read it cause you're not going to know what I'm blogging about this year. A is for A Cappella. You're probably thinking Kristin you spelled that wrong it's one word, but it's not. A Cappella is two words. For all of you who don't know what A Cappella is. It's music without the use of any talent. Aca scuse me! No, I'm just kidding A Cappella is music made using only you're mouth. Just your mouth, no really!! Yes, really it's just your mouth. I know it seems hard to believe, but it's true. Most of you probably don't get the jokes above, so I'm going to explain it for you. Tim Foust of Home Free explains to the audience in there shows that A Cappella is music without the use of any talent. Then, Austin Brown says Aca scuse me! Which is from the movie pitch perfect. A movie about collegiate a cappella groups. Ok, to better understand an A Cappella group I'm going to tell you what an A Cappella group does. A Cappella groups are usually made up of a beat boxer, a bass, a baritone, and a couple of tenors, altos, or sopranos. Unless thier an all female group. In that case they don't usually have a bass or a baritone. Home Free is made up of five guys. They have Tim the bass, Adam the beat boxer, Chris the baritone, and Rob and Austin the high tenors. Below you will find a video and a picture from Home Free.

Bye guys I have the new Home Free video to watch a hundred more times. Here's the link to the video on youtube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IA0WCc3vTls.

Animals

Lolly is our cat. She is sweet and lovable most of the time. She is only mean if she wants to be left alone and you won't leave her alone. She like to be held sometimes. When she doesn't she will claw her way out of your arms. She has left plenty of hole and scratches on my arms.

Brandy is one of our dogs, by "our" I mean mostly mine. She has always listened to me and behaved for me more than anyone else.  My mom keeps saying Brandy her dog, but we all no that is a lie. I'm the only that can get her to play. She treats me differently than anyone else and loves me more than anyone else.

Indy is our second dog. She is mostly dad's dog. He is the only one that can get her to behave. Indy is not the smartest dog in the world. Your can tell her to sit and she just stares at you like Duh I'm stupid. She is good at catching rabbits. There can be a rabbit a hundred yards from her and she will catch it.

Lance is our turtle. We found him about a year ago. We were walking down the road outside our house with our friends and one of our friends almost stepped on him when my sister rescued him. In my friends defense it looked like a rock.

So now that you know about the animals in my life this is Kristin signing out. Peace out!
